Life Membership Plaque                 John Padget

A well deserved life membership was given to John Padget at the presentation night. John is a true gentleman who loves his cricket and gave 100% every time he stepped out onto the ground. He has done so much for Blackheath Cricket…the list is long. He has captained numerous sides and has won many grand finals whilst captaining those sides. He has served on the board in almost all positions, and is now one of our  sponsors. He is the sort of bloke who, whilst he lived in Katoomba, would pick up fellow players from Blackheath, take them to the game at Hazelbrook, take them home after the game and then return home to Katoomba. Not having a car was no excuse to miss out on a game. Cheers to you Mr Padget. You are one of the rare ones.

Blue Mountains Cricket Association held it’s presentation night on Saturday 22nd April and the trophy winners were :

2nd and 3rd Grade with their grand final trophies and Trent Joyce with the best and fairest award, 3rd grade

Well done to our Under 12s, who very nearly got to the Grand final. They fought hard but lost to Lithgow by a measly 9 runs. Congratulations for doing so well. You have made Blackheath C.C, your coach and I’m sure your parents VERY happy.

Congratulations to our 2nd and 3rd grade sides…both are competition winners. This is the first time in Blackheath Cricket Club history that both of our senior teams have won the competition in the one year.

Commiserations go to both Faulconbridge sides, as they were beaten by the dreaded Blue Mountains weather. I’m sure they’ll be up there next season.
